A Commitment Ceremony is a non legal ceremony therefore popular to a variety of couples, with those couples already legally married and those couples yet to be legally married and those couples of the same sex, now wanting to celebrate their love and commitment to each other with a simple, but special ceremony without having any legal or religious components attached to their ceremony.

We have various types of ceremony text available for you to choose from for your ceremony, with you free to make changes to your chosen text such as adding in your own poem, vow or ring exchange, should you wish to personalize your ceremony, making the ceremony quite special and memorable to the both of you.

The ceremony is conducted by a Balinese Officiant and consists of the reading of your chosen text with duration of approximately 15 minute’s, depending on the text you select and its content, ending with the signing and presentation of your commitment certificate.

If you are considering a Commitment Ceremony here in Bali, we simply require your full names, a photocopy of your legal wedding certificate if you are already legally married and if you choose to have two witnesses sign your certificate, their full names prior to your ceremony taking place.

As many couples would like to experience the culture and spirituality of a Balinese Ceremony it is also possible to have your formal Commitment Ceremony first and then have a Balinese Blessing afterwards which will provide you with some insight into the local customs and culture that many foreign couples do not get to experience.
